What’s Ikebana

Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, also known as Kado ( 華道, the way of flower )

It has been practiced for more than six hundred years.

By the middle of the fifteenth century. Ikebana achieved its first zenith under the influence of Buddhist team masters and has grown over the centuries, there are 3000 different schools in Japan and abroad.

The best known schools are Ikenobo, Ohara-ryu, Sogetu-ryu.

This school teach you Ohara-ryu style.

Profile

Born in Tochigi prefecture, January, 1977.Holds for teaching Ikebana 2016.Now I hold 2nd Term Masters Course degree, 2020.

Recently, I taught at elementary school and also some private lesson. I have displayed Ikebana at SOGO CHIBA (department store), CHIBA CITY LIBRALY, and at some galleries in Nihonbashi in Tokyo.

Now, I display on the Laviedor Onjyuku entrance hall, at all time.

My favorite flowers are lily, chrysanthemum, and iris. My hobbies are watching movies, going to art museums, and watching American dramas.

I like to talk with foreign people, because we different cultures and traditions. So, our aesthetic sense is also different. I think that is a good influence to have on each other. I hope you enjoy doing Ikebana and talking with me about a lot of thing.

Customized course

I will endeavour to customize lessons according to students’ needs.
Please bring your favorite flowers and vases and let me know where you want to place the works.
I will propose and teach Ikebana according to your needs.

1 lesson: 60 minutes (Depending on the work)
fee :1500 yen ~
(Separately, flower material fee is required.)

Step up course

This course is for those who want to obtain a license in ikebana.
Twice a month, for 90 minutes, you will learn the traditional techniques of Ohara-ryu Ikebana according to the curriculum.
You will need Ohara-style textbooks and basic flower vases. (We will lend it to you during the first period.)

Every other Tuesday from 9:00 am

No admission fee

Monthly membership fee 4500 yen
(Separately, flower material fee is required.)
